London – US fast-food chain KFC has re-employed its former delivery supplier in Britain after an embarrassing shortage of chicken forced the closure of hundreds of restaurants.
KFC announced on Thursday that Bidvest Logistics would supply 350, or more than one-third of its UK restaurants, but added that new partners DHL and QSL would be kept on board.
“Our focus remains on ensuring our customers can enjoy our chicken without further disruption,” a KFC spokesperson said in a statement.

“With that in mind, the decision has been taken in conjunction with QSL and DHL to revert the distribution contract for up to 350 of our restaurants in the north of the UK back to Bidvest Logistics.”
The spokesperson added that some 3% of KFC’s 900 restaurants remained shut, while suppliers were still struggling to deliver items such as salads and drinks to outlets that […]

Trump has reportedly changed his diet — and after a week of eating like him, I can see why it was necessary

Dennis Green , Business Insider US

• President Donald Trump has a notoriously bad diet full of fast food and high-calorie meals.
• Even the official physician to the president said that Trump “would benefit from a diet that is lower in fat and carbohydrates.”
• A new report from Bloomberg suggests that Trump has recently changed what he’s eating to be more healthy.

We tried KFC’s new ‘mojito’ – and one ingredient was a bit overpowering

Timothy Rangongo , Business Insider SA

Business Insider South Africa tried out KFC’s latest offering, the Midnight Mojito Sparkling Krusher.
• Basically, KFC just replaced the Sprite in its original Virgin Mojito with Coke.

KFC South Africa recently gave its Krusher product range an update with the addition of the ‘Midnight Mojito Sparkling Krusher’.

The fast-food chain first rolled out a limited range of the blended ice beverages about eight years ago with the Virgin Mojito Sparkling Krusher – an icy, carbonated beverage with a Sprite base, mixed with mint flavoured syrup, garnished with a lemon wedge and mint leaves. It has since expanded the Krusher flavours with yogurt berry, P.S. chocolate and Bakers lemon cream biscuits among others.

The latest offering returns to its roots – it’s an alternative to the Virgin Mojito Krusher. We were curious to taste it.
